TapouT XT Day Nine - Strength & Force Upper
Day nine of TapouT XT and our second time doing Strength & Force Upper. The bands we bought after the first time through really made a difference. We were able to switch them when appropriate and maximize our workout by pushing ourselves longer and harder. Mandi is feeling a bit under the weather so she really dug deep to stick it out. Overall we did a lot better than last Monday. The schedule looks like we'll do Strength & Force Upper next Monday then not again for several weeks.
I can't praise the mat we purchased enough. The difference in how we were able to perform today's workout is almost as extreme as TapouT XT. The only issue I had at all was I began pushing off of my elbows during Ultimate Abs and started to burn them a little. Nothing permanent, just an immediate irritation and a reminder to not cheat the exercises. I need to modify instead of breaking form, something I already know, so an obviously needed reminder.
Ultimate Abs is a grueling routine for me. My core is weaker than it should be so it's fifteen minutes of grit and grind. I do enjoy most of it as I want a stronger core to improve my kayaking. I've read that some believe the Abs DVD is not necessary since all of TapouT works the core but I think it's needed for someone like me who needs to work their core as much as possible.
