TapouT XT Day Eight - Competition Core
We knew today was going to be one of the hardest days of TapouT XT. Not because of the workout, but due to the fact we were starting the day in Pensacola and had to workout after we drove the three hours home. Mandi started the day letting me get another hour of sleep while she read. After I finally got out of bed I grabbed a shower and she packed up. We decided to walk downtown for breakfast. What we didn't know is that most places were closed or opened later in the morning for brunch. We found an open place but didn't like the breakfast choices so we headed back to our hotel, grabbing me a coffee on the way.
We didn't see anyone else so we just packed up the truck and checked out. We got a text from Vy asking about breakfast but it ended up being a seafood place so we passed. The hotel staff recommended the Scenic 90 Cafe and Mandi checked out the menu online. It looked good enough so we decided to go ahead and leave. What a great place, it was a diner! I'm not sure why they use cafe in their title, a lot of places do in Pensacola, but it was one of the best diners we've been to. Great service, great food, clean and just wonderful.
After filling our bellies we began the drive home. Nothing exciting, just three hours of I-10 then we got off to pick up Corbin from the Divine Dog Hotel. He was happy to see us but happier to be getting back in the truck to go home. Really, he just wanted to get back to the couch, his most favoritest thing in the world.
At home we jumped right into TapouT day eight, Competition Core. We probably should have completely unpacked first to shake off the drive but we knew we had to get going or risk missing a workout. We both felt pretty good and were able to do almost everything, not at max speed, but a definite improvement. I was just glad we put the DVD in and gave it our best effort. Shortly after we had dinner and crashed on the couch.
