TapouT XT Day Seventy Eight - Muay Thai

We jumped right into TapouT XT first thing this morning. Muay Thai is the first workout in the final week. It's one we both enjoy so we gave it everything we had. The one legged tucks-ins were the only spot that had us slowing down at all. We both were striking hard and kicking strong. It felt great to knock this one out before beginning our day. We took a long shower then made ourselves a brain power smoothie as a treat for breakfast.

There is a big family cookout today so we decided to get a few things done just in case we return home late. We packed our breakfast and lunch for tomorrow then started loading up some stuff in our truck. One of Mandi's sisters breeds pugs so we will be giving her all of our crates since she can use them. We also went through my dress clothes and pulled out what was too big for me. We'll see if her brother wants any of them before we take them to goodwill. We also had time to get the bikes posted to Craigslist so hopefully they'll sell soon.

The cookout was like a circus. Everyone was there and the children were running around like lunatics. The adults rotated from room to room making sure the mayhem was under control. There were several melt downs but no bodily harm was incurred, whew. It was fun talking, playing and eating, lots of eating. This was the only time the entire family would be getting together during Mandi's brother's visit. He ended up taking a nap so I guess he was more worn out than the kids.

One of our best friends and her children also came, she's a surrogate daughter anyway, so there was plenty of action. Through the tears and tantrums fun was had by all. Now the house and yard barely survived the generational convergence. The tadpoles didn't ever have a chance. It was definitely the pinnacle moment in this weekend's family activities. We'll drop by in the evenings this week but Mandi's brother and family will be heading south in a couple of days. We headed home to catch some couch time before my first day at a new job. Oh, I almost forgot to mention that Mandi received a job offer on Friday so she too will be starting a new job in a couple of weeks, the winds of change are blowing!
