TapouT XT Day Sixty Four - Competition Core
Today was going to be another busy day so we started by jumping right into Competition Core. This is probably Mandi's favorite ab centric routine in all of TapouT XT. I like this one too but I like all of the routines, well except for Cardio XT. I was worried that working out first thing would be a challenge but once we got started we warmed up quick. We both kept pace and were really pounding it out. There are always a couple moves that trip us up a little but today we powered through almost all of those too.
I always stumble a bit with any side plank move so of course the side plank jacks were a bit rough but I was able to do all of them. I did push myself a little too hard with one of the high knee sprints but fortunately a couple of moves later were on the floor so I was able to recover enough to keep up the intensity. As always, Mandi looked like a pro and was pushing hard the entire time. We both feed off of each other and like different things so when she starts to fade she just tries to stay with me, I do the same.
It's obvious that the improvements we have made are really paying off. We are getting more out of each workout than we did the time before. We knew it would probably take two rounds of TapouT XT but we are pleased at where we are at this point. It's almost unfathomable that we are only starting week nine. We're not expecting to be ripped up like any of the testimonials but Mandi's abs are starting to show a little. I keep joking with her that I don't like TapouT anymore since she's getting the results I want. Honestly, I love TapouT and look forward to it every day.
