TapouT XT Day Forty Eight - Cardio XT

Boo! I felt like a child that didn't want to eat their peas today. However, I like peas but I'm not especially fond of Cardio XT, really any cardio workout. Unfortunately, I couldn't sulk at the table until bedtime so I had to choke each spoonful down. I know the cardio will help me lean out but I don't have to like it. Mandi was hopping around like a rabbit as I was gasping like a dying fish at a sloth's pace. OK, I wasn't that bad but watch Monet and that was me. Slow, painful and not pretty.

I get the concept of building the muscle then using it to burn off the calories. I also get the concept of engaging in long low impact exercise to burn fat as well. I know most people would not walk six miles instead of a 40 minute routine but I most definitely would. I don't want to sound all whiney but I obviously really, REALLY, REALLY dislike cardio routines. Maybe, during round 2, we can substitute some hard bike rides? I know Mandi gets good results from cardio so we'll need to continue some form of it in the future.

Now, Ultimate Abs is exactly my kind of routine so I was enthralled when we made it to it. I love torturing my abs, especially since I am slowly loosing my belly and I am eager to see my little abdomen muscles grow. It has become my latest obsession and one I hope to be fruitful. I cannot remember the last time, if ever, I could see abs so I'm determined to be successful. If I don't make it due to body composition then I should have a rock solid core, wahoo.

I've also noticed I was being, well a type of German from the forties, regarding my caloric intake so I eased up a bit this week. I can tell a huge difference in my performance and I think I've lost some more weight. I am feeling slimmer and hope to keep the momentum going to get leaner. It goes to show that it's easy to get your body into a semi-starvation mode. My advice to myself is, it's a marathon not a sprint!
