TapouT XT Day Forty Four - Ripped Conditioning

Feb 25, 2013
by Mandi

We are still living in a haze but that doesn't stop us from TapouT XT. Today had us doing Ripped Conditioning, one of my favorites. I'm obviously a typical guy and think my arms should look a certain way. For me, any routine that has tons of bicep curls is a winner. Mandi really dislikes strength routines so she just digs in to get the most out of them. We were both pushing hard and keeping pace with the DVD the best we could. I have to do a couple of things a little slower to stick with a harder resistance band but Mike states it's the time and not the reps so we'll see if that strategy will pay off for me.

Now, when it came to Ultimate Abs we were both killing it. I did struggle a little in the beginning but I was able to get into a stride which I rode all the way through. The biggest gain is in the killer move. I could never really get any kind of burn out of the GFOs but today it sort of fell into place. I was able to keep it tight and really spin around resulting in a nice crunch. Hopefully, I won't forget what I was doing and will be able to pound them out from now on.

It's confusing to be experiencing a tired foggy state then to just pop out from time to time. Today was like a roller coaster for me but the workout was awesome. Many times I went from being fine to being super tired, then rinse and repeat. It would be nice to break out of this funk because I'm not sure if it is hindering our results and it just sucks. I've searched around online which resulted in me thinking that we had almost every disease known to mankind. Our sleep has also become erratic so that just compounds it, really!

Surprisingly, I'm in really good spirits. Feeling like crap doesn't mean I have to be crap so I just keep plugging along. I'm sure I didn't contribute as much as I could have during some meetings today. I guess that's why I'm thinking it's detox or carb flu because I'm OK. I'll keep looking for answers but this may be something that needs to pass. We'll see.
