TapouT XT Day Eleven - Yoga XT
We completed day eleven of Tapout XT with our second time doing Yoga XT. I really enjoy the yoga days since they are a slight break but still a good workout for me. I really need the stretching because I am the typical inflexible guy. Mandi loves any type of Yoga so she is happy we are finally doing a little. It's a good break in the schedule and right now it falls between two leg centric days.
I noticed today we stuck through the entire routine. We did struggle with the push-ups at first but we were hammering them out by the end, weird. I figure we just needed to get our bodies going but it was the opposite of what usually happens. This goes to show us that we need to make sure we are attempting each move before modifying, unless we know we'll hurt ourselves. I do have difficulty with the side planks so I have a ways to go with my core, a new mini-goal while performing TapouT XT.
Today also marks the eighth day with the 1 3/8 Wrestling & Gymnastics Roll Out Mat. We love it! The perfect size would be 6x12 instead of 5x10 but we have been making adjustments to both fit. I just extend my feet off for some of the floor work, we face each other with a slight offset sometimes, perpendicular for a few moves but overall our knees, elbows and forearms are much happier. Lying on our backs is much more pleasant too. This is a definite purchase we would make again.
